I'm a Senior Software Engineer currently working on a hybrid Platform + Product team at LinkSquares
Previously, I've scaled delivery systems at EatStreet during COVID-19
I start my day early with my top two priorities: learning and health.
Current health focus: Gut microbiome health, transverse abdominus, and hip strength
Current learning: Playing with gen AI tools like Claude Code
What I enjoy: Cooking, quality time with my partner, family, and friends
Current obsessions: Dutch Blitz
Platform Engineering: I design and build scalable backend systems, APIs, and microservices. From monolith decomposition to multi-service architectures.
Product Engineering: I build and maintain core features of our product, advocating for a great user experience.
Developer Productivity: I proactively create tools and processes that make teams more efficient - generators, standards, and CI/CD improvements that save sprints of work.
Technical Leadership: I take ownership of complex problems, collaborate across teams, and drive initiatives from ideation to production deployment.
Scaling Legal Tech Platform: Extracted party domain from monolithic Rails app into dedicated microservice, eliminating performance bottlenecks, and improving developer velocity across engineering teams.
COVID-19 Food Delivery Compliance: Reengineered EatStreet's order pickup workflow with contactless features and secure ID verification for alcohol delivery, maintaining business continuity during pandemic.
Developer Productivity Crisis: Fixed rogue Sidekiq processes that were consuming ~64 hours of developer time monthly, freeing up significant engineering capacity.
API Standardization: Led cross-team effort to standardize inconsistent API design across web, public, and Salesforce integrations, reducing integration time for new features.
If you've worked with me, I'd love to hear about your experience.
